Directions
No matter what direction you’re coming from to get to North Woods Rafting, you’ll enjoy some beautiful views! Look for Mount Washington, local fauna such as moose, deer, loons & eagles and many beautiful, scenic vistas! Leave yourself some extra time to stop for photos!
To get to our base of operations:
Where we meet for our Pontook trips and most Float trips.
From the South: From Route 93, take exit 35 after Franconia Notch. Follow Route 3 through Twin Mountain. Go straight through the 4-way intersection where you’ll see the Twin Mountain information booth up on a hill to the left. Take a right hand turn onto route 115. Follow Route 115 to a T-intersection with route 2. Take a right. Follow to a T-intersection with Route 16. Take a left toward Berlin. Follow 16 north through Berlin. North Woods Rafting is approximately 4 and a half miles past White Mountains Community College. Our base is on the right.
From the North: From route 26, turn onto route 16 south. Follow Route 16 south all the way to North Woods Rafting. You’ll find us on the left after the village of Milan and the Milan Lumber mill.
Errol trips: For this trip, we’ll meet you at the river!
From the South: Follow the directions to the base of operations, but continue north past North Woods Rafting on Route 16. Continue through 13-Mile Woods until you come to a T-intersection. You’ll see a large sporting goods store, L.L. Cote in front of you. Take a right. Before you cross the bridge, take a left hand turn to follow route 16 north. You’ll find our van in the parking lot which is the very first right-hand turn you can take.
From Umbagog, Follow route 26 into Errol. Take a right hand turn after you cross the bridge. You’ll find us in the parking lot which is the very first right-hand turn you can take.
From Colebrook or The Balsams: Follow route 26 into Errol. Take a left hand turn before you cross the bridge. You’ll find us in the parking lot which is the very first right-hand turn you can take.
